We are happy to share that Winston, (our old family dog that was subsequently stolen from his new owners) has been recovered by the RCMP and, as of this morning, is back in his new home!
Turns out the lady who stole him had loose lips and, thanks in part to online media, hardworking friends, and a nice officer from the Edmonton city police, (who later tipped off the RCMP in a neighbouring community), the ordeal is over.
Apparently there were other doggies stolen from the same location, so I hope there are other relieved owners today.
-thanks to all who passed along the word, especially Mayja and Elaine.
After we debrief with Winston from Ottawa, I hope to share a homecoming photo. Here is a relatively recent one:
Very sad to hear that our old family dog, Winston, (who we recently had to give up for adoption due to Finley’s allergies/asthma) has been stolen from his new family’s car!
Below is the note we received yesterday. Please keep your eyes peeled for sweet Winston, who we think is likely still with the thieving and obviously deranged middle-aged woman who apparently frequents Planet Organic on the Edmonton’s southside. I will attach also some video and photos of Winston.
- thanks for passing the word around.
(I know Sherrill’s and her family are totally heartbroken).
